Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America Digital Registry
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Digital Registry, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.
Authorized Users
Access to the Digital Registry is limited to authorized clergy, parish personnel, Metropolis personnel, Archdiocese personnel, and individuals specifically authorized to complete or review forms.
Users shall not share credentials, permit unauthorized access, or attempt to access records beyond their authorized scope.
Permitted Use
The Digital Registry may be used solely for legitimate ecclesiastical, sacramental, administrative, and recordkeeping purposes of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
Users shall not:
- Access information without authorization;
- Interfere with operation of the platform;
- Upload malicious code;
- Use the platform for commercial purposes; or
- Copy, distribute, or disclose registry information except as authorized.
Nothing in these Terms or the Privacy Policy shall be construed to limit the authority of the Archdiocese, its Metropolises, Districts, or its Parishes to maintain, review, certify, reproduce, or disclose sacramental or ecclesiastical records when reasonably necessary for ecclesiastical administration, genealogical research, citizenship applications, historical research, legal compliance, or other legitimate church purposes.
User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for:
- Maintaining confidentiality of credentials;
- Protecting information accessed through the platform;
- Promptly reporting suspected security incidents; and
- Ensuring submitted information is accurate to the best of their knowledge.
Confidential Information
All records accessible through the Digital Registry are confidential church records and may contain personal information. Users shall maintain the confidentiality of all information obtained through the platform.
No Warranty
The Digital Registry is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The Archdiocese makes no warranties regarding uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Archdiocese shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from use of the platform.
Suspension or Termination
The Archdiocese reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access at any time for security, operational, ecclesiastical, or administrative reasons.
Modification of Terms
The Archdiocese may revise these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
